چکیده
The preparation of 2D-layered C@TiN: Ti3C2 MXenes were synthesized via the previous reported paper. Typically, 1 g Ti3AlC2 (purchased from FORSMAN Company, China) was added into 15 mL 40% HF solution. The solution was stirred for 120 h at 40 oC. After the HF etching, the material was centrifuged and washed in deionized water until pH~7. The Ti3C2 MXene was obtained after drying at 50 oC for 12h. 2D layered C@TiN was synthesized from the obtained Ti3C2 MXene via one-step nitridation. The Ti3C2 was putted into an infrared-heating rapid thermal processing quartz tube furnace (BTF-1200C-RTP-S90B, AnHui BEQ Equipment Technology Co. Ltd, China). The C@TiN samples were heated to different temperatures (750 °C, 850 °C) for 1-2 h with a heating rate of 5 °C·second−1 in flowing NH3 atmosphere. After naturally cooled down, 2D layered C@TiN was obtained. These samples are named as C@TiN-calcination temperature-heating time. For example, the C@TiN obtained under 850 oC for 1h is named as C@TiN-850-1. The bare TiN was prepared via the oxidation of Ti3C2 under 900 oC in CO2 atmosphere, following by the calcination under 750 oC in flowing NH3 atmosphere.

Synthesis of two-dimensional materials by selective extraction.
CONSPECTUS: Two-dimensional (2D) materials have attracted much attention in the past decade. They offer high specific surface area, as well as electronic structure and properties that differ from their bulk counterparts due to the low dimensionality. Graphene is the best known and the most studied 2D material, but metal oxides and hydroxides (including clays), dichalcogenides, boron nitride (BN...
متن کاملSynthesis of Binary Transition Metal Nitrides, Carbides and Borides from the Elements in the Laser-Heated Diamond Anvil Cell and Their Structure-Property Relations
Transition metal nitrides, carbides and borides have a high potential for industrial applications as they not only have a high melting point but are generally harder and less compressible than the pure metals. Here we summarize recent advances in the synthesis of binary transition metal nitrides, carbides and borides focusing on the reaction of the elements at extreme conditions generated withi...
متن کاملUltra-high-rate pseudocapacitive energy storage in two-dimensional transition metal carbides
The use of fast surface redox storage (pseudocapacitive) mechanisms can enable devices that store much more energy than electrical double-layer capacitors (EDLCs) and, unlike batteries, can do so quite rapidly. Yet, few pseudocapacitive transition metal oxides can provide a high power capability due to their low intrinsic electronic and ionic conductivity. Here we demonstrate that two-dimension...
